Nokia 3250

So Khye An got a new fone...
The Nokia 5700....

Wait, why am I talking about his fone.....
Anywae, I'm getting more and more fed up with my increasing expediture....
Take a look at this:
You Can Clearly see that the Battery cover has a siginificant bulge....
The second picture shows the battery having significant bulges....
I think the battery going to conk out soon....
Might as well as get a new batt rather than wait for it to catch fire and explode
This adds to my increasing expenditure.....Looks like I can now never get a PSP at the EOY...
=(So Sad=(

My 3rd September

Disclaimer: These pictures are not of my 'sons' or 'brothers'. They are from a student care centre I volunteer to work with...
Ain't he cute?
What 'bout this?
Pillow Fight time
Holy Freaking Cow!!! He's serious
Ready for action, Sir!
Aww... He suddenly looked so innocent...
Todae was the Prelims Physics Practical....
Overall quite an easy paper, but the question about the manometer
was quite vexing...
The liquid P that we were tasked to find its density gave a lot of trouble...
After the practical, my classmates asked around and i found out that the liquid's density ranged from 0.5++ to 1.5++... Mine is 0.791.

At night, I went to a chalet-cum-buffet which was organised by some teachers at the student care centre I volunteer at... And this kids (and their parents) were invited as well...
We ate quite good food. and generally these P3 boys had quite a log-lasting pillow fight...
I took the golden opportunity to take a few snapshots...

My brother's new laptop... After the screen's backlight of his old laptop conked out

Life that I live

Hi, 4 a long time I've been AWOL---- bcos i've been quite disillusioned of late.

So todae I've finally gathered my senses together

i just feel like dying...

I myself also dun noe y i feel so vexed...

probably its bcos of the O levels but i think not

probably its bcos of my room but i think not

I think i finally got the answer:

Its my family.

Every nag that i received at home is like

a voice inside my head.

The feeling of having nagging voices in ones head

is really vexing...

Go ask a psychopath and they will tell you

In my opinion, I probably looked like that cat in the picture.
i just dunno what to do anymore
I feel so confused....
I just feel like dying altogether...

Just now went out with family
to eat at No Signboard Restaurant.

Spent over 300 dollars but at least food was good
but i think that sum of money was a bit too much,
for a dinner like that

Todae was quite boring, went around to
regular internet sites that i usually visit
(no obscene sites, of cos).
I ended up discovering that my brother
the mobile my bro bought a week ago
had been "outdated"
and a new "flagship" is announced

This is the world of technology.... getting faster and faster
pple hu refuse to embrace new technology will just get left behind

Todae I woke up at 7.00 am
And saw the very black face of my mother.
Let me summarize the incident that led to her black face
Last nite, there was a taoist funeral going on at the
open field beside my block
They were offering their last respects and burning
items in respect for the day
In the field there's a big metal cage that
was set up specially for this rite.
My father was worried that the ashes from the
burnt offerings would be blown into the house
so he ordered me and my brother to
close the windows of our rooms and on the aircon
My mom wanted to my and my brother to
off the aircon by 1200 we of cos did not comply
as the metal offering cage was not removed
unti later todae.... HAIZ
so todae she pouted for the whole dae
Sianzzz
Todae after church, i went with church people to
watch OCEAN 13. Not a bad show.
Full of cunning and trickery
Produced by Steven Spielberg.
As for the blog, i removed the videos and added a song playlist.
Check it Out!!!

As I sit in front of my Laptop writing this post...... My younger brother is probably on the flight SQ816 to Shanghai...... He'll b gone for nine days..... Coming back on the 30th of May.......Yesterday, i went to the airport at about 1030, to send him off for his immersion trip that only government-aided/private schools get...... I was amazed not by his classmates but the design and the interior of the new Terminal 2...... It simply looks marvellous..... I've got pictures to prove that and pls try to guess where its was taken....

well, actually these two pictures are taken at the Terminal 2 MRT station..... quite beautiful minimalist design with those arches...... The left picture reminds me of a cloning lab where the clones are hidden below the floor....... HAha........

Counting down...... 5 more days to the Chinese O levels on 28 May..... I still wonder why do i stilll blog so much........ do i do so to improve my typing skills and speed??? This I truly wonder.....

Sunday, May 20, 2007

I have been busy for the past month or so studying for the Mid-Year Examinations... so thats probably the reason why I have not been blogging for so long..... Hiazzzz

Chinese O-Level Written papers are on 28 May.... While Chinese O-Level Oral is on the 1st week of July/Term 3/2nd Semester... quite early... ... Due to my school's policy... I guess I HAVE a 90% chance of retaking my Chinese O-Level at the End-Of-Year again.... This is because the school wants all the O-Level Gradurants to retake their Chinese Written Papers an "A" grade is not achieved in the 1st sitting... ...

Yesterday, I tried to invite my junior, Wilfred, to church but his mom said NO... ... I knew the reason why i met with failure....... 1st of all, his mom have not seen my face before..... I also think that there is a religion barrier....... Nevermind... I shall work hard and try again this Christmas, this time with an invitation from the Church itself......

Life at Home seems boring this week....-----My brother is preparing to fly to Shanghai this coming Tuesday(22 May 2007) for a 9 day immersion trip.... Then, during the 1st two weeks of the June Holidays, I still have to return to school for lessons and as well as a class study chalet.... Sometimes I feel that ife is meaningless.... Why do we spend so much time studying for theory examinations when practical examinations, IMHO, is much much more useful......In fact the working society should not judge by academic performance but by practical performance.... Imagine( copyright of Samsung) having an employee that only has paper qualifications but is unable to operate any machine in your company.... Would you still find any use for such a person...... I mean that our society should focus more on personal skills performance rather than on academia as its the skills that are person has that unable him to earn a living rather than his paper qualifications and make a mess out of his given occupation....

I think that I should not/will not/probably not spend so much time on blogging anymore due to my poor MYE grades and the coming O-Levels......

After service, I stayed at church until about 3 before going to NorthPoint to catch a movie....
I think the ticket explains it all...

REPORT ON EXPERIENTIAL TRIP TO PC

Today at school, we were given a rare opportunity to taste the PC of Hai Sing Catholic School. Just in case u dun noe wat it's about, it means Personal Care or something like that....

This rare offer was kindly extended to the boys of the class only, Donovan excluded, by the ever-present Mr Gng who have never seem to have taken a day of sick leave in his years in Hai Sing Cathoilc School...This rare opportunity is special as onle selected pple can attend the PC. The PC is a very sacred activity as the invitation to attend was not extended to all even though it is part of Hai Sing's tradition and history....

The male prefects and peer-support leaders were also given double the prescribed duration of five days so that they can find and give comments about the PC Room, which doubles as a Classroom for class 3T1.

From today's immersion program at the PC, I found out that the minute classroom that belonged to 3T1 proved too small to accomodate the many privileged students who were sent there as well. In my opinion, PC should be held at the New Block Multi Purpose Room (MPR) 1. The environment at MPR1 is much cooler and much more spacious. After tomorrow's immersion program at the PC, I would be able to tell you more of the Pros and Cons

The Busy Phone Maniac

Hi, I apologise for not blogging for quite a while. Technically, I was busy finding applications to spruce up my ole Nokia 3250 and coping with my own academic and social issues. I would like to request that any people having ImageExpo by SysOpenDigia version 3.4 and below send me the downloaded version. Pls email it to sierra_antares1@hotmail.com I have version 3.5 but the programmers at SysOpenDigia have kindly "banned" the orientation function for all unregistered copies. Dun bother asking me to buy the license. It costs over S$100....

For those who dun noe wats the use of SysOpenDigia's ImageExpo, i will briefly explain it. Image Expo allows a person using a Symbian OS smartphone user to export live images from their smartphone's screen to the computer. In summary, a neat presentation application. However most people dun use it to do presentation, they use it to change the screen orientation of their smartphone from portrait to landscape. The change is quite permanant unless the smartphone is restarted or switched off and on.

People do this because they :

  1. They can't afford over S$1000 to buy the Nokia N95 which works in lndscape mode.
  2. They are jealous that the N95 can work in landscape while their smartphone kant.
  3. They want to show off their heavilly mod-ded smartphone.

And in case u have never seen the N95 b4, here's how it looks like:

Full packaging / Media Player Mode(although menu shown) /Standby Mode

Prototype N95(still in portrait mode) / N95 in package box / Sexy Smartphone!

Today, we had Bio Practical. We were tasked to investigate the amount of starch and reducing sugar(in this case, glucose) in each of the solution in 5 different test tubes. As there is a bottle of Ethanol on the reagent rack (every bench for 4 has 2 reagent rack). Naughty Khye An put Ethanol on the test tube scrubber. The results are as follows:
Next he poured some Ethanol in to a small red plastic tub that was used to carry hot water beakers. Later, he torched the tub and the tub was aflame. The fire was quite out of control. Koong Jye tried to blow out the fire but it grew larger bcos he was like injecting oxygen into it. Khye an then used another tub and extinguished by pouring water over it. The tub, unable to withstand a large change in temperature, collapsed and instantly changed shape. I shall take a fotoo of it the next time i'm able to do Bio Practical, provided the Lab Technicians do not discover it earlier than us.
Today the last two lessons of school were played indian poker and big two. All bcos Mr Tan the Chemistry Teacher is absent. I would like to congratulate him for giving us such an opportunity for me to be shot by the water gun twice.

I bet a 1000 that u are asking why due to the inbuit curiousity of homo sapiens

Actually all the boys ( minus dominic, donovan, jermain and AMos LIm MAo MAo) and Girls like Jocelyn, Rachelle, Jessica Lau + Shermine played Indian poker today.

Indian Poker is played using a deck of Gambling Cards, duh!!! Each player draws a card from the pre-shuffled deck or the dealer. The card must be placed on the forehead with the bach of the card touching the forehead. The player must not try to use any methods to see the value of his card. In this game, the symbols in order of highest value to lowest value is --- Spades, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds while the numerical value on the card in the order of highest to lowest is Ace to 2. In our Game, the person with the 'lowest' card gets shot by the water gun by other players.

I apologize for not blogging yesterday... Cos i was too tired after the sec1 Orientation Camp.... While the other NCOs thought the camp was a success, I personally feel that the camp was quite a failure as the NCOs failed to instill the much needed discipline in the Sec1s. They dun even have the discipline to sit up straight when the NCOs are talking to them

Talking about the Sec1 camp, the Sec1s dun really look interested in anything except the water-bombing activity... Most of the Sec1s were not performing the dance properly. No wunder Jessica felt so down on the 2nd day. In my opinion, the Sec1s dun look ready for the actual NPCC trainings. There are too much animosity in the Sec1 squad... For example Char####e seems to despise Shir##, this is too much!!! In fact, the rest of the Sec1 squad dun seem to care about Shir##. If the camp was longer, there would be more time to drill the much the much needed discpline and the 'one for all. all for one' attitude into the cadets

Wilf##d could have gotten the title of 'Best Male Camper'. He was quite enthu during the camp, with the exception that he was too quite. I hope that he can get that title for his ATC next year.

REgarding the digimon song, i have fixed the problem.

Sianzzz Sia... today got back two common test papers.....
Both failed to get the passing mark.... Talking about it makes my heart ache.....

Today still trying very hard to do the one-day late Sec 1 Orientation Camp proposal...
At least got a kind soul in Michelle helping me to buy the much needed food stuff....
I think i would go to help her lug all the things on MOnday morning to show my gratitude.....
Ironically, Jia Hui said that she got nothing to do for the camp but now she got quite something to type out....

I really hope that Jun Wei and Zhe Hui will turn up for the camp.....
Food IC badly need their invaluble help....

In the camp, partnered with Beatrice, sure kena headache... Bcos she would probably control thr group.... and talk a lot.... Lolz

Today was quite an eventful day....
First of all SS, Madm Kang returned us our half-marked SS common test...
found out that i got 4/12 for section A. So sad!!!
Hope that i can pass due to help from the still unmarked section B... Last week she asked the class whether we have seen her thumbdrive... today she went out of class without taking her laptop...

Second subject of the day, CME (a.k.a English as CME was rarely taught in 4e1). Mrs Tang was back from leave.... She was aware the we muddled up her birthday.... (hers in Nov). She also said that she quite poor thing.... Since yesterday, all the classes she went to wished her happy birthday. Even the teachers did that too. Didn't get back Common test = Bad and Good.
Bad for not noeing whether i can at least get b4. Good for not noeing too many test results within a day... will die of heart attack...

After lunch Chem.... Nothing much to say...Mr Tan, pls mark faster...

Last subject today....Maths....Ms Ong didn't seem as "black" as that day when she let us see our A.Maths marks. Not bad... At least got A2 for E maths .... Still need loads of work in A MATHS....
Amos Lim pissed her off when he commented that her laptop's contents are quite messy....Ms Ong reteliated with a fierce rebuttal... Actually i can see that she doesn't feel well today + getting pissed off, sure got angry.... TSk Tsk... Amos Lim, O , Amos Lim. This is the 2nd time u have pissed off a teacher with your remarks in your almost 4 yrs in HSC....

Today also got nothing nuch to do except planning the Sec1 Orientation Camp for this year's Npcc Sec1s.... Just now, went snooping around blogs of students from Haising... Found a blog of my junior....from Sec 1e1....Wilfred Wang(sensitive-.blogspot.com).... Found out that he so enthu about NPCC....Keep up Wilfred!!! don't be like me always skip trainings....

Added a digimon theme song. Jermian reminded me thats why i went to great trouble to retrieve a piece of my explicitly short childhood.... MOre to come... especially from the 1988 Japanese movie My Neighbor Totoro or 龙猫....

Today, I seem to have a lot of things to "report"...

The first and foremost is to apologize for not updating my blog regularly.
Please also feel free to state in the tag board which song you would like to hear and I'll try my very best to accomodate to your very wishes.

The second and last thing is to wish all the readers of my blog a Happy and Prosperous Lunar New Year.
May all your dreams for wealth, health and prosperity come true...

Tonight I will probably sleep at about 12pm. I am participating in something known to the Traditional Chinese as 守岁. In simple English it means to wish your parents longevity by sacrificing your own sleep... It usually practised by children with nothing better to do but I would like to have a try.

Today i went to school with a light heart, having not done any homework during the weekend. I had slept like a pig so, naturally i feel more refreshed. Today, Marianne told me that she noes Preacher Lam. Inferred that she goes to Katong Pres Church. She also asked if I know Elizabeth. Sianzzz, how come the world so small 1?

Read Jermain's blog. Found out that he had already updated his blog. No wonder he told me he had not slept a minute since Sunday night. I wonder...

I also gathered from Khye An that he reads blogs with his name. In an attempt to get him to come to my blog, I finally included his name.

I wonder Elizabeth and Marianne exchanged blog addresses...

The next test is Physics: Current and Practical Electricity (correct me if I'm wrong) and I hope I can do well in this test. It seems that Electricity is the only topic in Physics that I do not fully understand.

Thursday, January 11, 2007

Finally its nearing the end of the week and the very tired me can finalle take a short rest. The week had not been quite eventful. Neither had it been smooth for me too. I am very tired after school everyday. In fact, due the overwhelming amount of school work, I stayed up to the next day's morning and often retire to my comfortable bed at about 2 am.

It seems that the teachers don't seem to forget that there is homework to be passed up, like what often happened last year. The second week of term 1 is coming to an end soon and the teachers are still pressing for submission of homework.

Due to the unusually large amount of the homework flooding in, and the fact that all humans need to take time to adapt to a new enviroment, I'll not be posting as often as I did last year. G-O-O-D-Bye!!!

Thursday, January 4, 2007

Today came back from school feeling extremely tired and agitated. Still have loads of uncompleted holiday homework...
Sometimes I wonder why do they give us holiday homework during our Holidays???
